CM Punjab Announces Ramzan Relief Package And Free Medicines
In her inaugural speech, Punjab’s first female chief minister, Maryam Nawaz, declared that she had no resentment or desire for retaliation and that her appointment was an honor for all women in the nation.
The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) boycotted the elections, which prevented Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member Maryam Nawaz from being elected as chief minister of Punjab.
With the support of 220 MPAs in the provincial parliament, Maryam emerged victorious in the elections and became Pakistan’s first female chief minister ever.
Rana Aftab Aftab Ahmad, the opponent of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), was prevented from speaking at the election, hence the party boycotted it and Ahmad did not receive any votes.
In her inaugural address to the provincial legislature, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed gratitude to God and her supporters for the victory.
“I am disappointed that the honorable members of the opposition benches are not here today. She remarked, “I wish they would participate in the democratic and political process.
In her inaugural speech, she declared, “I want to send a message to the opposition: the doors of my chamber and heart will always remain open for them as they are for my party members.”
Earlier, MPAs for the Sunni Ittehad Council, backed by the PTI, abstained from the CM election.
She declared that the provision of jobs, healthcare, and education will be the PML-N’s main priorities throughout her term in office. Announcing the Ramadan assistance package for Punjab, Nigheban, added that packages including necessities valued at Rs6.5–Rs7 million will be given to the general public throughout Ramadan.
“We’ll deliver the package right to their door.”
Maryam also mentioned the establishment of markets offering necessities at discounted prices. Honoring her father, who she said “handheld” her from the general elections till she attained her current position.
“Nawaz Sharif provided me with daily guidance and outlined a five-year plan for the province the day I was nominated as chief minister of Punjab,” the woman remarked.
Maryam continued, “I want to use this opportunity to teach the youth to respect their parents because their prayers bring us to places we never would have imagined.” She also promised to carry on the PML-N’s legacy.
She also declared that starting right away, all government hospital emergencies will receive free medication. Maryam Nawaz has declared that she has no resentment or desire for retaliation.

“I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has helped me, even though it has meant going through death cells, court appearances, my father’s jail, and my mother’s passing. Nevertheless, I feel obligated to my opponents.
“This struggle has brought me to this point in my life,” she remarked.
Maryam Nawaz, the recently elected chief minister of Punjab, expressed her gratitude for her appointment and expressed hope that the legacy of women in leadership will endure into the future.
“Having a daughter as a woman won’t stop you from achieving your goals,” she remarked. Pledging to work for both the MPAs who supported her and the ones who did not.
Maryam recounted that her party’s members and the PML-N never left the site unoccupied despite several obstacles and hardships. She remarked, “I would have been happy if the opposition had been here today and if they had protested during my speech.”
